Yung O. Lee

Yung Lee, age 80, of Dormont, PA, passed away on February 3, 2026, peacefully at her home. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and kindness that will continue to shape all who knew her.

She was born on March 9, 1945 in Seoul Korea to Chang and Keumsoon Hwang. She is survived by Charles Lee her beloved husband, her two loving sons Steven Lee & Samuel Lee, her cherished grandchildren, as well as her brother Byung Hwang and sister Young-Pil Hwang, all of whom were deeply loved and faithfully supported throughout her life.

She attended Ewha Woman’s University in Korea and devoted much of her professional life to service and leadership. She began her career in education as an elementary school principal in Korea, where she invested in the lives and futures of countless students. After relocating to the United States, she worked for MetLife Insurance as a claims approver and later became co-owner of Goodyear Auto Services in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, as well as co-owner of The Headgear in downtown Pittsburgh. Above all her professional accomplishments, she considered her most important calling to be that of a devoted wife and mother.

She was best known for her deep love of Christ and unwavering faith. Her life was marked by faithfulness, kindness, and a sincere dedication to her family and her churches. She found joy in studying the Bible intently, listening to classical music, and had a genuine love for others that was felt by all who knew her. Her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and steadfast encouragement were a blessing to many. She also had a fond love for sweets, which she could never quite resist—a small joy that brought smiles to those around her.

She will be remembered for a life well lived in service to God and others, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and faith community. Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 at 12:45PM at Pittsburgh Baptist Church at 3100 Pioneer Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15226 (412-341-1660).
