William D. VanKirk Sr.

Entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was reunited with his beloved wife of 65 years, the late Patricia (Palombia) VanKirk. Beloved son of the late Glenn S. and Gladys (White) VanKirk. Preceded in death by his brother Glenn R. VanKirk. Loving father to Debbie (Bill) Huffman, Denise (Ray) Adamrovich and the late William D. VanKirk Jr., Adored Pap of Melissa (Dave) Deremer, Dana VanKirk, Michael (Liz) Huffman, Daniel (Tara) Hlasnik and the late William D. VanKirk III. Cherished Tall Pap of Ava, Koen, David, Emma, Bobbie, Mason, Sabrina, Aleena and Bria. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was a Teamster truck driver at Calgon Carbon for over 40 years and a proud Mason with Greater South Hills lodge #684 F&AM. . He was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, an avid coffee drinker and also enjoyed dinners, vacations, playing cards, reading and spending time with his family. Bill was a friend to all and lived life to its fullest.
