With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of William "Billy" George Rabatin Sr., aged 53, on April 8, 2024. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, George and Regina Rabatin. He is survived by his daughter, Jordan, and son, William (Leah) Rabatin Jr., whom he adored and treasured beyond measure. William was not only a devoted father and son but also a beloved uncle to his nephews, whose admiration and affection he cherished deeply.
William had a special fondness for animals, particularly his two beloved dogs, Diesel and Daisy, who were his constant companions. As a long-time steamfitter of Local 449, he took immense pride in his career.
An avid sports lover, William's passion for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers was unmatched, and he could often be found cheering them on with his son. Beyond sports, William had a talent for lightening the mood with his quick wit and knack for cracking jokes, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
In addition to his immediate family, his mother's long-time friend and confidante, Lou Sothergill, provided support and love to William during both joyful and hard times.
As friends and family gather to mourn his loss, they will remember William for his laughter, love, and hard work ethic. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
