William T. Plunkett

Age 95, of Beechview, on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Olga J.; dear father of William E. (Patricia) and Robert A. (Deborah) Plunkett; loving grandfather of Todd (Celeste), Marissa (Kevin), Renee, Sandra (Kenneth) Green, and Matthew (Amanda); special great-grandfather of Claire, Paige, Anna, and Griffin; brother of Thomas Plunkett and the late June Engel and Dorothy Conway. Bill was a member of Franklin St. John Lodge 221 F&AM Post 456, Mt. Oliver, and the American Legion. Bill served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was awarded the Purple Heart, the Silver Star, and numerous other commendations.
