William Monti

Age 93, of Crafton Heights, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Nicolena Gattuso Monti; loving father of Linda Monti and the late James (Sandra) Monti; twin brother of the late George Monti, Medio Monti, Guido I Monti, Joseph Monti, Guido II Monti, Marian Lugaila, Elizabeth Hopfer, Philomena, Helen and Ann D'Aversa. Grandfather of Bill (Kate) Monti and Melissa (Dominic) Corso. Great grandfather of Ben, Ryan and Megan Monti, and Gianni Corso. Bill was a proud SGT in the US Army during WWII having served in the Pacific Theatre and receiving the Bronze Star, Philippines Liberation Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre with 3 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal and the Bronze Star by the 28th Infantry Division. He was also part of the 775th Tank Battalion and received his honorable discharge from Fort Knox, Kentucky.
