William “Bill” Miller, 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his home in Bethel Park. He was born in Pittsburgh on October 19, 1936, son of the late William and Imelda Miller. He graduated from North Catholic High School. Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janice Miller; his three children, Gary Miller, Cynthia (Edward) Ratesic and Mark Miller; his two grandchildren Brittany (Jared) Campbell and Lindsay Ratesic (Mark Boehm) as well as his great grandchild, Mila Campbell. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Bill was deployed to France and North Africa. He honorably served as an aviation maintenance engineer. Very personable and hardworking, he retired after 45 years as a pharmaceutical sales representative for McKesson Drug Corporation. An avid golfer, he spent most of his time on the golf course and was an active member of the South Park 60s Golf Club. He had a passion for staying physically active and was awarded the 2013 Citiparks Summer Senior Games Certificate of Achievement. Bill adored his wife, loved his home, and was dedicated to his family. He was quick with a smile and always a kind word. Affectionately known as “Pap”, he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for the kindness he instilled in everyone he met. Friends and family are welcome for a visitation being held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm in FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS (412-835-1860) 112 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park 15241 where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday at 12:30 pm. A private family burial will follow at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
