Age 87, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of the Lincoln Avenue neighborhood of Pittsburgh, passed away at home on August 6, 2018. Beloved husband of Mary Jane Duffy Collins for 52 years; loving father and grandfather of Catherine (John) Reiter and their sons, Peter, Philip and Stephen; Maureen (Tom) Ruschak and their children, Sarah, Grace and Samuel; Michael (Megan) Collins and their children, Hannah, David and William II; Timothy (Heather) Collins and their son, John; and Patrick (Tori) Collins and their daughters, Sloane and Tess. Predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Margaret Kennelly Collins; and his brother, Thomas Collins. Dear brother-in-law of Patrick (Rosemary Barsh) Duffy; Kassie Duffy Wertz; Thomas (Paula) Duffy and Mary Ellen Duffy (Joe Horowitz). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. Bill was a proud graduate of Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School (Class of 1948) and veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a past national officer of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a 50-year member of St. Louise de Marillac parish. Bill was retired from the United States Postal Service and the Upper St. Clair Library.
