Age 91 of Scott Twp, on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Beloved husband of 65 years to Elizabeth "Betty" (Lawrence) Yaworski; son of the late Dmitri and Eva Karpiak Yaworski; loving father of Arian (Jane Anne) Yaworski, Christine (Joe) Censullo , Debbie (Kevin) Rozsa, Dan Yaworski. Grandfather of Stephanie, Nicole, Nicholas, Kathryn, Joseph, Ethan, and Cameron. He was godfather to Tom Steffora, a special nephew. "Lud" was part of the greatest generation and took the call to service joining the United States Marine Corps having served in World War II as a Private First Class having participated in action against the enemy in Okinawa and the Ryukyu Islands. He was a machine gunner and expert with MM rifle and bayonet. Upon returning from the war he joined Penn Central and Conrail having served on the rails for over 40 years. Lud had a love of basketball and played at Scott High and was a WPIAL official for 43 years having officiated numerous State Championships. He was a lifelong member of Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Church where he ran an athletic club and was honored by the Bishop for his commitment in helping the youth in the Federated Russian Orthodox Club.
