Virginia Torchia

d. July 27, 2021

Virginia Torchia, 92, of Scott Township passed away on July 27, 2021 peacefully at home while surrounded by her family. Virginia was known for her welcoming smile and her overall joy for life. She loved her job as the Secretary of the Our Lady of Grace Rectory for many years. Her hands were rarely still, Ginny had a green thumb and always had beautiful flower beds surrounding their home. If she wasn't in the garden she could be found sitting behind her sewing machine or knitting a new item to gift to somebody. But most of all, Ginny cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis; caring sons David (Anita), Richard (Deborah), and James (Beth); her siblings Carol McNany, Rose Barthen, John Paul (Kathy) Barthen, Elaine Stana, and James (Jane) Barthen; also survived by her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Ida Barthen and brother David Barthen and Joe McNany.
