Virgil P. Leedstrom

Age 78, of Collier, on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Beloved husband of 58 years of Mary Lee Leedstrom (Darnley); loving father of Amy Leedstrom and Melissa Bruggeman (the late Russell); adored grandfather of Allison Walker (Chase), Cameron Rogozinski (Cassandra), Reed Bruggeman, Chase Bruggeman, and Regan Bruggeman; great-grandfather of Graham Walker; son of the late Estelle (Backus) and Fred A. Leedstrom; and brother of Joan Cianflone (the late Frank) and the late Ervin Leedstrom (survived by Marlene) and the late Barbara Malesanka (survived by William).  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Virgil worked for 34 years as a crane operator at Ryerson Steel.  He enjoyed golfing, camping, and playing darts, and loved rooting for the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.

All are welcome Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 12-4 PM in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 412-563-2800. His memorial service will take place in the funeral home at 3 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
