Victoria A. King, born April 2, 1967, in Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully from a short and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was the dear daughter of the late Edward and Delia (O’Malley) Szerbin. She was the beloved wife of Douglas King and cherished mother of Fallon King and Ava King. She was the sister of Erin (Szerbin) Coyne, Gary (Mary Lynn) Szerbin, the late Edward Szerbin, Christopher Szerbin, sister-in-law of Terri Szerbin, and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Victoria’s greatest joy and life’s devotion was being a mother and a wife. As a stay-at-home mom, she poured her heart and soul into raising her daughters, Fallon and Ava, who were the very center of her world. Victoria, Doug, Fallon, and Ava shared an unbreakable bond. They were best friends who did everything together. To her daughters, Victoria was everything: their protector, teacher, healer, cheerleader, style inspiration, source of strength, mentor in faith, and their perfect example of unconditional love. She supported every dream they had, even helping them build their own business. To her husband, she was the love of his life and will be forever.
Victoria lived each day with purpose, compassion, and love. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, whether through her warm hospitality, her love of hosting gatherings, or the effortless way she made every guest feel like family. She was generous in spirit, always putting others first and finding joy in giving to those she loved. She was also a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, whose love and care touched everyone in her life.
She loved beauty in every form: sunsets, animals, nature, art, and music. Her home was her happy place, with each room beautifully decorated with her touch, filled with smooth jazz, and ready to welcome guests with a glass of champagne.
Above all, Victoria was the glue of her family. Her faith was strong and unwavering, and she instilled in her loved ones the power of faith to transform life. She lived fully, embraced what truly mattered, and made everyone she encountered feel seen, cherished, and loved. To know her was to experience the grace of an angel on earth.
