Son of the late Vernon A. and Nana (Hayden) Hopkins, Sr.; dear brother of Audrey (Jeffrey) Lynn; uncle of Jackson and Sean Lynn; former spouse of Jean (O'Neill) Hopkins. Vernon was employed as an engineer at General Dynamics. In addition, he was a carpenter and a fun loving musician.
