Thomas R. Yaksick of Rook Station - Green Tree, owner of Alexions Bar & Grill in Carnegie for 43 years, passed peacefully on May 7, 2023. Son of the late Mary Anne & Thomas Yaksick. Loving father to Blaise (Kellyann) Yaksick, Tim Yaksick, and Maggie Yaksick. Brother to Mary (James) Naughton (Daughter Theresa Naughton), Joanne (Late Mike) Hoskins, and Pete Yaksick (Victoria Popple). Thomas grew up passionate about football, known as the “Yard Man” to all his teammates, playing at Thomas Jefferson High School, and continuing his passion on the Slippery Rock football team which was undefeated his senior year. Thomas was also on the Pittsburgh Maulers USFL team between 1983-1985. He enjoyed doing his yard work, and creating bonfires for friends and family. Family and friends welcome Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8pm, and Wednesday 8-10:30am in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp. 15220. Funeral Mass Wednesday, 11am in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
