THOMAS W. O’CONNOR
Age 60, of Scott Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on August 11, 1965, in the Swisshelm Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Tom is the son of Thomas N. O’Connor and the late Barbara (Slattery) O'Connor.
Beloved husband of 33 years to Stacey (Kudlik) O’Connor and cherished father to daughters, Reilly and Caley. Brother to Michael (Denise) O’Connor and Denise (John) Welsh. He issurvived by numerous extended family members and as well asmany devoted friends.
Tom, also known to many as “Bull” and “Smiles”, was a graduate of Central Catholic High School Class of 1983, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Tom spent his 27 year career as a dedicated Juvenile Probation Officer with the County of Allegheny.
He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division # 32-Sean MacBride, Carnegie, PA and a bagpipe player with the Emerald Society Greater Pittsburgh Police Pipes and Drums.
Known for his warm smile, kind heart, quick wit and an incredible gift for bringing people together and making them feel valued and loved. Tom enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished his faith, family, Irish heritage, lifelong friendships and his extensive whiskey collection.
Family and friends welcome on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6-8 pm and Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10:00 am in St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St Bernard Church, 311 Washington Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Burial will be private to the family.
The O'Connor family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hillman Cancer Center and Family Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
