Thomas "Tom" M. Horner

Thomas M. Horner, formerly of Hazelwood, who had a gentle spirit and was kindhearted, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025. He found joy in simple pleasures and cherished moments spent with his family. He appreciated and had an encyclopedic knowledge of good books, music, and movies. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart. Tom was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Columbia University, and attended the Columbia University Medical School. Tom is survived by his brothers John (Lorraine) and Greg as well as his nieces and nephews: Katie Horner, Jessica Horner, Lucas Horner, Ian Horner, Devyn Horner, Jonathan Murchake, and Samantha Murchake. He was the son of the late John J. Sr. and Frances (McCann) Horner . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in St. John Capistran Church, Resurrection Parish, 1610 McMillian Rd., 15241.
