Thomas Sheldon Taylor

Age 91, of Mt Lebanon, on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Beloved husband of 63 years to Helen Dordas Taylor. Loving father of Diane (Dennis) Pavan, Thomas Sheldon Taylor III, and Andrew G. (Christy) Taylor. Dear grandfather to Jennifer Taylor (George) Schwendtner, Danielle Pavan, Alex (Jen) Taylor, Kelsey Taylor, Andreanna Pavan, Andrew Taylor, Emily Taylor, Zachary Taylor and Natalie Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a native of Schellsburg, PA, and was a retired chemistry teacher for Mt. Lebanon High School with 36 years service. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and held 2 Masters Degrees from Montana State University, Bowdoin College and Arizona State University. He was always proud to have shook the hand that shook the hand of President Lincoln. Mr. Taylor was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a 55 year member of the Franklin St John Trinity Lodge #221 F&AM, Shriner and Scottish Rite.
