Terry David Tylka, 63, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully, at home, on Sunday, December 26, 2021 after a long battle with Frontaltemporal Dementia and Primary Progessive Aphasia. Terry was the beloved husband of Patricia Kralik Tylka for 39 years. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Allyson Tylka Chovan (Christopher), his son, Alexander Tylka, and his granddaughter, Joey Abigail Chovan. Terry was the son of the late Joseph Tylka and
Ann Bartek Tylka, of Van Meter, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Allan Tylka (Cory), sister-in-law, Karen Kralik, brother-in-law, Deacon Joseph Kralik (Barb), nephews, Benjamin Tylka (Diana), Joseph Tylka, great nephew, Tomas Tylka, and great niece, Isabel Tylka. After graduating from Belle Vernon Area High School in 1976, Terry went on to earn a BS in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and later received his MBA from Waynesburg University.
Terry worked as an accountant throughout his career at various businesses including the Duquesne Club, The Light of Life Rescue Mission, PNC Bank, and Allegheny Conference on Community Development. He enjoyed serving his community as a 18 year volunteer with the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Elizabeth Seton Adult Daycare Center and Gallagher Hospice for their support, compassion, and care during his illness.
