Stephen Zivkovich, 81, of Rosslyn Farms, died May 26, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his beautiful bride of 52 years, Barbara Lee Bognar, he was the dearest dad to daughters Annalee Zivkovich (Ernie Beckwith) and Laura (Andrew) Rauch and proudest grandpa to Emily (Kyle) Wacker and Peter Rauch.
Steve was quick-witted, charming and handy with a pun. The youngest of the eight kids of George and Anna Zivkovich, he grew up on a Fayette County coal patch and remained a devoted brother and uncle to his combined extended family. He was generous with his love and time. A 1960 graduate of Penn State, he moved from mining engineering to social work after earning a masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He served his community for more than three decades as a director with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and also volunteered with the Rosslyn Farms Borough Council. He was a true Pittsburgh guy who loved watching and playing sports, knew all the best parking places and even once broke down in the Fort Pitt Tunnel. He would want you to know that you are beautiful and wonderful.
Rest in peace, Steve. We love you always. Friends welcome Friday, May 29, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220.
