87, passed away on June 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband for 61 years of the late Joan Moran, and a devoted father to his four daughters: Lora Shildt (Kevin), Lynn Schultz (Ron), Dena Caracciolo (Drew), and Sharon Rick (Rob). He was the proud grandfather of nine: Michael, Megan, and Melina Shildt; Molly (Mike) Callas; Katie (Ty) Brdar; Anthony and Mia Caracciolo; and Shelby and Sadie Rick. He also leaves behind his great-grandson, Matthew Callas, and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Frank Moran Sr., and his brother, Frank Moran.
A longtime resident of Scott Township, Steve spent his final years at Chartiers Bend in Bridgeville, where he built strong friendships and enjoyed many poker games.
Steve proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, spending two years stationed in Korea. Steve, with his brother Frank, were the owners of Keystone Motor Service, which was in operation for over 50 years.
Above all, Steve treasured his family. He was deeply proud of his grandchildren and was their biggest supporter, always present to cheer them on, whether it was on the sports fields or in the auditorium. He took immense pride in their achievements and always offered the best advice. Some of the most cherished memories were their annual trips to Deep Creek Lake, filled with boat rides on the pontoon, delicious shared meals and relaxing evenings in the hot tub.
Steve had a sense of humor that was appreciated by all who knew him. Quick with a smile and a joke, Steve met life’s toughest moments with grace and laughter. His humor, loyalty, and wise advice touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Steve was a devoted parishioner of Sts. Simon & Jude Church for sixty-three years.
