Shirley E. Cable

Age 90, of Mt. Lebanon, on Monday, January 2, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Herbert E. Cable.  Loving mother of Herbert “Chip” E. Cable Jr., (Barbara M.), Christopher F. Cable (Kim M.), and Carolyn Panizza (Eric).  Cherished grandmother of Matthew W. (Jennifer C.), Elizabeth Harper (Derrick), Clay, Chad, Abby Ruiz (Joshua), Colleen, Kate, and Erin.  Loving great grandmother of Alex, Stella, Samantha, Allison, Hannah, Ben, Eden, and Jordan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters.  Shirley was involved over the years as a Den mother, Brownie Leader, Girl Scout cookie chair, PTA President, Pittsburgh Symphony Society, an avid gardener, and animal lover, supporting many animal rescue societies. She was also a member of the Christ Church of Grove Farm.  Family and friends are welcome Saturday, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220, (412-563-2800) Funeral Service and interment private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
