Age 96, of South Fayette Township passed away in Country Meadows on Tuesday, February 21, 2018.

Beloved wife for 62 years of Willam A. Phoennik. Devoted mother of Mary E. Phoennik and John R. Phoennik and his wife Shelley.

Grandmother to Connor, Courtney and Rachel Phoennik.

Ruth was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie ( Funfar) Dezort. Predeceased by two brothers Richard and Anthony Dezort. Also survived by one sister-in-law

Dorothy Dezort and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a retired music teacher from the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Friends welcome on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 15220. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10:00 am S.S. Simon and Jude Church. Interment at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:30 pm EVERYONE MEET AT THE CEMETERY AFTER MASS.
