Roy V. Carroll

Age 92, of Green Tree on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Survived by his beloved Mae Wheeler. Dear father and best friend of Cindy (John) DeMerlis, Mary Beth Carroll (Matthew Rehm) and Christine Carroll. Loving grandfather of Ryan (Jackie) DeMerlis, Caitlin DeMerlis, Kelsey DeMerlis, Maxwell Rehm, and Clayton Rehm and great grandfather of Aria DeMerlis. Brother of the late Howard (Ann), Russell (Jay), Richard (Mary), Eugene (Nora), Jack (Marlene) Carroll and Joyce (James) McCarthy. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Roy was proud of his Irish heritage and very proud of his roots on the North Side of Pittsburgh. He was a gentle man and if you look up "nice guy" in the dictionary you will see a picture of our Dad. He had a quick sense of humor, dry wit and whether you knew him as Dad, Beeba, Uncle Roy, or Roy, he was always there to lend a hand to family and friends whenever he was needed. Roy was a Manager with the Allegheny County Assessor's Office, also a longtime Democratic Committeeman in Green Tree and a member of the American Legion in Green Tree.
