Rosemarie E. Sawicki

Age 85 of Carnegie, on Thursday, March 16, 2023.  Beloved wife of John Sawicki.  Dear mother of Donna (Keith) Besz, Gary Sawicki, and the late Glenn.  Loving grandmother of Nicole and Justin Besz.  Sister of the late Agnes Makita and Irene Hansel. Also survived by nieces and nephews.  Rosemarie enjoyed reading, playing cards, and computer games. She also loved socializing with friends and spent time as a Eucharistic minister for Our Lady of Grace Church. Rosemarie worked as a secretary at the Pittsburgh Railroad, Bishop Canevin High School, Corfield and Good law firm, and USX Steel.  After retiring in 2000, Rosemarie worked for the Chartiers Center part time. Family and friends are welcome Monday, 3-7 p.m. WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800) Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Grace Church, St. Michael the Archangel Parish.  Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
