Rose Belcastro Kaufman

Age 94, died on 12-14-20 due to Covid 19 complications. Preceded in death by her husband Sidney Kaufman, grandson, Alex Kaufman, and parents John and Annie Belcastro. Loving and devoted mother, survived by John (Rachel) Kaufman, Jan (Robert) Barson, Judith Kaufman (William Lurye), and Jeffrey Kaufman. Grandmother of Marinna (Matt) McMunn, Jordan and Meah Barson, Hanna, Max and Emma Lurye. Great grandmother of Royce and Vivienne McMunn. Also survived by her brother, Dr. William Belcastro and several nieces and nephews. After graduating from Trinity HS, Rose was a professional dancer. She performed with a dance troupe at several nightclubs along the east coast. Her favorite song was " New York New York" by Frank Sinatra. Whenever she heard it, she would start dancing no matter where she was. After her dance career, she spent her time and energy raising her four children. Rose was a devout Catholic and was an active member of the Queen of Peace Circle at S.S. Simon & Jude Church. Rose loved life and lived it to the fullest.
