Ronald Lee Brown, 69, passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2023, in his home.
Ron is known by his family and close friends for his incredible sense of humor and the way he embraced life to the fullest. He carried himself with dignity and resiliency, and never a complaint, even after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease way too young. Ron was a constant learner and keen listener, a lover of classic novels, cars, telling jokes and playing cards, and the person you needed to say "be careful" to, often. He lived life his way.
He leaves behind his proud daughters Jeannine Zaccone (and husband Jason Zaccone), Christie Tillapaugh (and husband Andrew Tillapaugh), and many adoring grandchildren and a great granddaughter; his devoted brother Raymond Brown and dear sister-in-law and long-time friend Janet Brown, who provided steadfast care as a retired nurse; and loving nephews Benjamin and Jacob Brown and great-nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Marie Brown and oldest brother Paul.
A private viewing with family and close friends will be held on Sunday, October 15 from 2-4 PM at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 15211 (412-563-2800). He will be laid to rest with military honors, together with a celebration of his life, at a future date. In lieu of flowers, as a very practical man, Ron would want donations to be made to advance Parkinson's research, support your local veterans or simply to enjoy a nice ice cream.
