Robert "Bob" Sullivan passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2022. He was born in the West End of Pittsburgh to Robert and Dorothy Sullivan on August 23, 1931. He graduated from Langley High School in 1949, and from the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate and graduate work. He also served in the Navy during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine "Cookie" Montergue, and daughter, Susan Conboy. He is survived by his son, Terence of Rennerdale, brother, Fred of Naperville, IL, and sons-in-law, Scott Conboy and David Kingston and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob spent many years vacationing in Chautauqua, NY with his immediate and extended family. He also enjoyed collecting and assembling model trains, especially during the holidays for family and friends. He and Cookie sang in the church choir during their 66 years of marriage as well as several other volunteer choirs. Bob loved the Navy, air, and sea. He enjoyed sailing, weather instrumentation, and he eventually received his private pilot's license. Bob taught Physical Education and coached sports for the Upper St. Clair School District for 30 years. After his retirement, Bob spent his time working at his son's Catering business and volunteering at the Church. He also enjoyed working in his yard and home renovations. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, at 11:00 am.
