Robert George Opferman

70, of Mt Lebanon, on Wednesday, August 01, 2012. Son of the late Edmund and Elizabeth Opferman. Beloved husband of 48 years to Sandra (Bouvy) Opferman; loving father of Robert (Lynn), John, George (Kristine), Daniel (Julie), and Michael (Michelle). Proud grandfather of Rachel, Leanne, Julie, Thomas, Mary Kathleen, Sarah, Daniel, Lilli, Abigail, Nikolaus, Jacob, Kailey, Brian and soon to come new baby grand daughter. Brother of Margaret Delehanty, Joseph Opferman and the late Edmund Opferman. Also survived by his mother in law Laverne Bouvy, and a loving extended family of many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mr Opferman served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was a dedicated Mt Lebanon Police Officer for 31 years. Friends welcome Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday in St. Winifred Church. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
