Age 95, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away. Bob was born November 4, 1921, to the late Michael and Rebecca (McCune) King. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ackerman, whom he was married to for 38 years; and by his second wife, Joan Miller, whom he was married to for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, William King. He is survived by his children, Robert (Maureen) King, Carol (Frank) Koch, and Jeff (Kim) King; also survived by his grandchildren, Dr. Jason (Kajal) Koch, Matt (Diane) Koch, Frank (Mandie) Koch, Jr., James (J.R.) King, Brianne King, and Dr. Kelly (Anthony) Redden. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was a proud member of Steamfitter Union #449 for 75 years and at one time was President of the Union. He served in World War II as a Tech Sergeant #143 Infantry 36th Division in Europe. He was a POW in Germany for nine months. He was a longtime member of VFW Post #5111. Bob was an avid golfer and played every weekend with his Steamfitter buddies and his sons. Bob was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Church where he attended daily mass until he went to Baptist Home.
