Age 82, of Greentree, peacefully on August 14, 2023. Robert was born December 19, 1940, in Carnegie, PA, son of Robert and Annabelle Johnson. Bob graduated from Crafton High School, and after being drafted in 1963, bravely served our country for four years in the U.S. Army. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 823 for 56 years. He met his late wife, Anna Hartman, at Conneaut Lake and they spent 43 years happily married. Their son, Jeffrey, was born in 1976, and was their everything. Bob enjoyed playing cards with friends, chatting and watching game shows with his sister, Betty Ann, and spending a few dollars at the casino. He was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Church, where his pew will be forever known as the Amen Corner. Before retiring, Bob proudly served his community working for the Greentree Borough road crew. An avid sports fan, Bob never missed an opportunity to watch a Pirates, Penguins, or Steelers game, always critiquing plays with his son. He could often be found sitting at a ballfield or the ice rink cheering on his favorite athletes - his grandsons or taking his granddaughter to Dollar Tree. Bob was a beloved brother, dad, and pappy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Johnson; survived by his son, Jeffrey (Patricia) Johnson; grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, and Lily; sister, Betty Ann Taylor; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Friends welcome Thursday 6-8 PM and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 412-563-2800, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp.
