Bob was a man who lived a life of service. He served in the United States Army for 2 years, was a dedicated City of Pittsburgh police officer for 25 years, and was an active member of the SS. Simon and Jude Church. After retiring, Bob devoted much of his time to the Church in countless ways, especially the St. Vincent De Paul Society, working as the safe environment coordinator, 412 Appalachia mission trips and the parking guru for the annual SSJ festival. He was humbled at the opportunities to serve the Lord in so many ways, especially as a Eucharistic minister, altar server and lector for daily mass. A special thank you to the amazing doctors and staff at UPMC Shadyside (7-Main) and Hillman cancer center. What a blessing to have encountered so much care and compassion these past several months.
