Robert (Bob) F. Beckham

Robert (Bob) F. Beckham, age 82, of Pittsburgh passed away June 28, 2018. He was an ordained Southern Baptist Minister and served congregations in Memphis, Tennessee; New York, New York; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for over 60 years. He served also as a social worker for Nisar Health and Human Services, Inc., where he worked with troubled adolescent children. Having settled into Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets in the late-1980's he worked with a variety of neighborhood groups to promote preservation of the historic nature of the community while identifying opportunities to promote affordable housing. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018, between 2—4 p.m., at the home of Timothy Ohrum and Karl Owens, 404 West North Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society
