RICHARD WILLIAM "RICK"
Age 61, of Castle Shannon, formerly of Allentown, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017. Beloved son of Gladys (Flaherty) and the late Robert Jefferson Flynn, Jr.; loving brother of David (Janet) Flynn, of Morgantown, WV and Lori (Jerry) Lamb, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; devoted uncle of Chris, Dan, Greg, and Caroline Flynn, Mitch and Matt Lamb. Rick was born in Norfolk, VA and moved to Pittsburgh at age 9. He was a graduate of Keystone Oaks High School and attended Edinboro University. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS England, a guided missile cruiser. He worked with electronics, in security, and as a pizza delivery man. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator worldwide. He had conversations with Jacques Cousteau aboard the Calypso. He was a 34 year member of AA. Family and friends welcome Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., 301 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington, 15211, (412-381-3345), where Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. Entombment to follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
