Raymond Michael Piaggesi Jr., age 76, of Brookline, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Monday, June 16, 2025 at St. Clair Hospital.
Born on June 7, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Ray was a proud graduate of Resurrection School in Brookline, South Hills Catholic High School, and Duquesne University. A dedicated veteran, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1971 to 1975.
Ray cherished every moment with his beloved wife Patti and his children, Elizabeth (Andrew) and Ryan (Cara). Nothing brought him more joy than being “Pop-pop” to his seven grandchildren, Alivia, Raymond, Emmett, Julia, Anastasia, Alaina, and Edward. An avid reader and the family’s favorite chef, Ray expressed his love through the food he prepared for every occasion.
He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Norkus (Eddie), brothers, Andrew Piaggesi (Cecilia) and John Piaggesi (Lori), and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Raymond and Mary Piaggesi.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, June 23, 10 AM, Church of the Resurrection, St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, 1100 Creedmoor Ave. Interment will immediately follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gallagher Hospice, Suite 401B, 1370 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15107.
