Beloved husband of the late Karen Anne (Joyce) Nicklaus; devoted father of Chad (Shannon) Nicklaus and Brooke (Shayne) Cooney; cherished grandfather of Shayne and Ryleigh Cooney and Molly and Reilly Lada; dear brother of June (late Jim) Pistella and Wayne Nicklaus; also best friend to Joseph Stalder; and survived by caring nieces, nephews and their families. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Veterans Charity.
