Rachel Y. Friedman

Born April 9, 1953, Rachel Friedman of Mt. Lebanon, passed peacefully at home on December 24, 2021, age the age of 68 from complications caused by breast cancer. She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Howard Friedman; sons, Ross (Ana) and Chad Friedman; grandson Noah Friedman; and sister Michele Yamshon. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Estelle Goldberg Yamshon, and brother Barry Yamshon. A devoted educator, Mrs. Friedman taught kindergarten for 34 years. She spent her entire teaching career from student teaching through retirement in the same classroom at Eisenhower Elementary in Upper St. Clair and was a beloved member of the community.
