Philip R. Gillespie

Age 88, of Scott Township, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 30, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Jane; dear father of Mary Beth Gillespie Weber, Charles P., Amy, Catherine Gillespie-Selph, Caroline and Daniel; also 21 grandchildren; and sever great-grandchildren; brother of Harry Gillespie, Nancy Troy, and the late Richard and Sue Gillespie. Philip was in the Navy during WWII. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts including Chartiers District, Commissioner of the Pittsburgh Council from 1985-1990. He was a long-time member of the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir as well as member of the choir and assisted during daily mass at S.S. Simon & Jude Church in Scott Township. Friends welcome Thursday 6-8 p.m at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERIVCE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township. Mass of Christian Burial in S.S.
