Born Perry L Black III, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 5th 2015. He is preceded in death by mother Naomi father Perry Black, as well as daughter Charlotte and brother Paul. Perry is survived by his loving wife Constance of 62 years, son Bernard (Celinda), granddaughter Brenna; brothers Allan, Michael, and Edward, sister Florence (son Michael), as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Perry was a member of the 1948 South Hills High School graduating class, where he later served on the Alumni Association Board. After dutiful service overseas with the United States Army during the Korean War, Perry resumed employment with the Pittsburgh Press (later Post Gazette) where he worked as an operations manager for 47 years. He held office with the DPMA and served as President of the Pittsburgh Press Credit Union. Perry was an avid supporter and patron of the River City Brass Band and enjoyed dancing, fishing, and rooting for Pittsburgh sports. Above all, Perry's greatest love was his family and he will be dearly missed for his kind, generous, and lighthearted spirit.
