Paul R. Stratemeier (Tut), age 64, of Bethel Park, passed away unexpectedly at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Beloved husband of the Doreen Stratemeier (McGrady) for 33+ years; loving father of Paul Stratemeier and Sean Stratemeier; cherished brother of Edna (Stephen) Hamilton, Susan (Victor) Lapkowicz, Joseph W. (Chong), Jane Hein, Elaine (David) Wasko, and Christine (Vernon) Fetters; admired uncle of Jason, Emily, Joshua, Victor, Eric, Ross, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Sarah, Robin, Molly, Holly, Alexander, Todd, Michael, Andrew, Madeline, Ryan, Jennifer, Megan, Caitlin, Sarah, Grace and Frank; caring son-in-law for the late John and Marlene (Rhodes) McGrady; and respected brother-in-law of Kathleen (Frank) Willard, John (Kate) McGrady and Michael McGrady.
Born to Joseph and Edna (Rishel) Stratemeier, Paul learned early on the importance of honest hard work and commitment to family. A graduate of Bethel Park High School, followed by technical trade schooling. Paul spent his career working as a talented journeyman machinist in the machining & metalworking industry, for Westinghouse, Hallmor Inc, Ionics, and General Electric. He was a proud member of the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers, Local 52.
Paul’s exceptional talent with his hands and his ability to fix anything made him very popular with family, friends and neighbors, as they would commonly remark, “If you break it; he will come.” Most recently, he proudly completed the refurbishing of his 1971 Yamaha 650 motorcycle that he had owned since he was 16 years old.
Paul was a thoughtful, kind and loving husband, father, uncle, friend and neighbor. He had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed history, researching his German roots, kayaking, fishing, golfing, visiting National Parks, automobile races at Watkins Glen, family vacations and attending his yearly trout fishing excursion to Wills Creek. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Valentine Church, Our Lady of Hope Parish, Tuesday, 11 a.m., 2710 Ohio Street, Bethel Park, PA 15102. Burial in the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 900 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
