Age 74, of Pittsburgh, on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Frank) McCauley; son of the late Hugh and Ruth (Novak) McCauley; loving father of Beth McCauley (Anthony) Butterfield and the late Patrick Michael McCauley; brother of Kathy (Tom) Kaiser and Jack (Sandy) McCauley; "Pap Pap" of Ethan Patrick McCauley Butterfield, Evan Randall Butterfield, and Ian Michael Butterfield; step-father to Elizabeth Kemp and Kevin (Mary Beth) Frank; step-grandfather to Elliot, Jeremy, Charles and Meaghan Frank and Alex Kemp. Pat was a retired Detective for the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police with over 25 years service; a proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War stationed in Korea as a military police officer. He enjoyed doing private security for various venues in his retirement years and also loved car cruises, the Doo Wop and metal detecting. Friends welcome Tuesday 2-8pm, William Slater II Funeral Service (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd, Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Wednesday in St Bernard Church, Mt Lebanon. Internment will be private by family only in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
