Patricia A. (Abbott) Smith

Age 67, of Avon, IN, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Born April 8, 1949, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Bernice A. Kenneway Abbott. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Smith, they were married July 17, 1971, in Pittsburgh. Pat worked for Panera Bread in Avon for five years and previously was an associate for J.C. Penney for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Ron; son, Ron Smith, Jr.; sisters, Jean (John) Recklitis, Bernice McCort; brothers, Edward, William and Charles Abbott; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rich (Joei) Smith, Ray (Linda) Smith, Darleen (Gerald) Ingalsbe, Doreen (Ron) Dombrowski; and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Catherine Wertz, Carol Monz, Frances Abbott; father and mother-in-law, George and Irene St. John Smith; brother-in-law, George Smith; and sister-in-law, Beatrice (Smith) Cerminara.
