Patricia Irene Faloon, Born October 4, 1929, in Pittsburgh Pa, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 96. She was the devoted Wife to the late professional jazz guitarist, Marty Faloon, and together they built a loving home full of laughter, joy and especially music with her 3 children Bill (Debbie), Lisa (Ann) Faloon and the late Steven Faloon. Patricia loved her children more than anything and was always a presence in their lives. So much so that she turned down an audition for the Ed Sullivan show because she could not be away from her children. She got the best of both worlds when her son Steven and Lisa joined her successful entertaining duet of Fallon and Dunn and performed all throughout the tri-state area, performng in nightclubs, county fairs, proms and school Christmas shows. Patricia was one of only a handful of Woman drivers on Gladys Avenue and was forever riding the neighborhood kids to Softball practices, Karate Classes, Roller skating and Disco's on the Gateway clipper. Patricia was forever helping someone in need. Whether it was visiting family or friends hospitals or nursing homes, being a devoted worker for Meals on Wheels, driving someone to an appointment, doing laundry for the older neighbors or picking up a hitchhiker. She lived her faith as a Christian by the simple lesson of " Love Thy Neighbor”. In suffering the most tragic loss as a parent could face, she lost her Son Steven Faloon to Severe Aplastic Anemia at the age of 23, she took that loss and persevered by not only writing a book about his life, but for 44 years has been the driving force behind the Steve Faloon Memorial Fund at Children's Hospital which raises money for the Bone Marrow Transplant Team. To date, the fund has raised $315,179.00 and will continue annually in May in both Steve's and Patricia's honor. At the age of 55, Mom became the famous “Rainbow the Clown”, performing at numerous Birthday Parties and other joyous events. Mom never quit, 3 weeks before her passing, she bowled a 146 with her left hand (she is right handed) with a regular ball on regular lanes. 6 days before her passing, she was singing Christmas Carols and beating her Caregivers in Gin Rumy. She lived life by her own terms and she got to end her life on her own terms. Who could ask for anything more! Our family will be forever grateful for her truly dedicated and loving caregivers, and to Bridges Hospice for giving her the dignity, love and respect she deserved in her last months. Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 12:00 pm until the time of a Celebration of Life Service at 12:30 pm at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd.
