Norman P. Caldwell

Of Mt. Lebanon, on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Beloved husband of Bonnie (Opel); loving father of Norman P., Jr. and Krista Caldwell; dear brother of Barbara (William) Pryor and the late Virdyn Caldwell (surviving spouse, Carolyn); uncle of Julie (John) Smith, Amy Riley, Bill (Anne) Pryor and Jane Pryor; also great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Cash. Norm was a graduate of Dormont High School and Carnegie Mellon. He served in the Air Force Reserve as a medic with the 911th Airlift Wing. He began his career as a civil engineer for General Analytics in Monroeville. He then became the owner of Shelves, Etc. in Mt. Lebanon. Norm retired from The Fireplace and Patioplace. Some of Norm's greatest joys included family, friends, vacationing at the beach, good food and a Wild Turkey manhattan. Friends welcome Wednesday 12 noon - 6 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 15220, (412-563-2800), where a funeral service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
