Norene Meik Conley

Age 96, died March 28, 2023 after a short illness while visiting her cousins in Florida.  She passed a week shy of her 97th birthday.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Margaret Conley; brother, Charles Conley; and sister, Lois Conley.  She is survived by her cousins, David Ewing (Pat) and their children, Elizabeth (Pete) and son, Riley Wenning, Jeffrey (Bethany) and children, Sam and Amelie Ewing, Gregory (Mandy) and children, Ella and Graham Ewing.  Also surviving are three nephews and niece, Paul Conley, Lillian Roselin, Robert Conley of California and Charles Conley of New Mexico.  Additionally special friends, Michael and Mary Regan, Fred and Barbara Zinger (and family) and Christine Griffel.  Norene was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh and avid Steelers fan.  She grew up in Lawrenceville, and graduated from Shenley H.S. She retired from the Steel Workers Union and served as an elder in the Presbyterian Church.  A graveside service will be held for Norene and her sister, Lois, at Allegheny Cemetery, 4735 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201 on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1 PM, funeral procession will be leaving at 12:15 PM from WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd.
