Nicholas Bodnar

Age 87 of Upper St. Clair, on Monday, August 16, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Dolores Bodnar; son of the late Nicholas, Sr. and Anna (Roebuck) Bodnar; loving father of Gary Bodnar, Janet (Troy) Jones, John (Dao) Bodnar, Linda (Michael) Smith, and Lisa (Jose) Oliva; brother of Joanne Kalyn, late Walter Bodnar, late John Bodnar and the late Maryann Laszczynski; grandfather of James, Jordan, Nick, Katie, Julie, Lisa, Michael, Steven, Lauren, Maddy, Claire, Adam; great grandfather of Jordan, Addison, Malcolm, Nicholas, George; Mr. Bodnar graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration after 15 years of night school. He was employed at Dravo for 36 years, was an Assistant Director of Computer and Information Systems, and also worked at Comstock in CT and Pittsburgh before retiring in 1996. He was an avid wood worker, wood turner, played golf, bowling and poker. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling, organizing an annual family reunion and stayed busy with projects around the house.
