Morton Harris Lowe

89 years young, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. His family referred to him as 'Mr. Pittsburgh' for his cherished hometown and beloved Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Mort's greatest joy was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl, his parents Morris and Esther Lowe and his sister Betty Lazear. Surviving are his daughter and son Debbie and Mitchell Gardiner, daughter Bev Lowe (Art Boone). Grandchildren Nicole and Ryan Gardiner and nieces and nephews Penny, Craig, Dorey and Zachary Scheimer and his dear, devoted friend and doctor, Alfonso Cipriani. Mort's family greatly appreciated the care and friendship provided by Colleen Meteney and Kathy King. Mort possessed a sharp intellect, a passionate commitment to integrity and doing the right things and an incredible warm, generous heart. He was a true gentleman, one of a kind and is already greatly missed. Funeral Service will be held at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp. on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Visitation one hour prior to Service (11 to 12). Interment in Beth El Section of Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
