Minister Joseph Lewis Austin

Minister Joseph Lewis Austin was born November 28, 1938. He transitioned peacefully on Sunday April 9, 2023 at the age of 84 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born to the parents of James & Mima Austin. He is survived by his wife Dorothy J. Austin and his devoted loving daughters, Faye Thompson-Wilson, Mima Austin, and Lori Starr. He was a devoted Minister of the church of Jesus Christ in Clairton, Pennsylvania. He was faithfully committed to his church family. Joe as many knew him, enjoyed cooking and was an avid chef who loved sharing his style of creation in his cooking skills.

He also leaves to cherished loving memory his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, life Pittsburgh and other esteem organizations.

Friends welcome Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4-8pm in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd, Scott Twp., where his funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1pm. Interment private.
