Michael S. Vennare

a.k.a. "Bobby Barker" and "Betty White" - on August 4, 2018, of Bethel Park at 22 years old from an unfortunate drug overdose. Loving and devoted father to Maddox Vennare. Much loved son of Jill and Chris Whalen, and Jason Flaherty. Big brother to Nicholas and Emma Whalen, and Mason Flaherty. He leaves behind longtime girlfriend and mother of Maddox, Chelsea Hayes. Michael will be deeply missed by grandparents, Kathie and Bill Black, Gina Vennare, and Jim and the late Karen Whalen. Michael was lovingly greeted at the Gates of Heaven by his grandfather, Eugene Vennare, and great-grandparents, Eugene and Tillie Vennare, and Eileen Lane. He will be forever remembered by his aunts Tracy (Chris) Robison, Andrea Vennare, and Katie Whalen; along with Uncles Eugene Vennare and Tom Whalen. Michael also leaves behind many cousins, great-aunts and uncles, and friends - all of whom are devastated by this sudden loss. Michael will be most fondly remembered for his bursting energy, sharp wit, playful smile, huge heart, and infectious laugh. After on/off struggles with prescription drug use, Michael had been charting a path to a better life for him and his young family - only to have it abruptly ended. Although Michael was unable to save himself, he is saving others posthumously with his selfless choice to become an organ donor. Michael made this choice after his grandfather had received a transplant from an organ donor giving him the gift of 5 more years to spend with his family. While we continue to struggle in coming to grips with the loss of such an energetic and bright, yet troubled, young man - we take solace in knowing that he is providing a second chance to others in need, so that they may have more time with their loved ones. For those of you who may be struggling with addiction issues - be it your own, or a loved one - Michael wants you to realize that while it is now too late for him, it is not too late for you.
