April 11, 1960- May 14, 2026
Michael Dale Jones (Mike) a man who built a life defined by hard work and craftsmanship, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 14, 2026. He was 66 years old.
Born in Banksville, PA, Mike was a graduate of Keystone Oaks High School, Class of ‘78. From a young age, he took to the trade his father taught him, eventually turning that skill into a lifelong career. With grit and his own two hands, he established Mike Jones Floor Company. For over 40 years, Mike’s name was synonymous with quality. He took immense pride in every floor he laid and every job he finished, leaving behind a generational business and a reputation for excellence that will endure throughout the community.
An avid hunter, Mike found his greatest peace outside. His passion for the sport led him to own land in Iowa, which served as his sanctuary and a gathering place for those who shared his love for the hunt. To his many hunting buddies scattered across the country, he was fondly known as the "Ranch Master." He also treasured his property “at the lake,” where he spent most summer weekends admiring his lawn. Whether tracking game or cutting the grass at the lake, he truly enjoyed being outdoors. .
While he lived for the rewarding exhaustion of a hard day's work he loved his family. He shared a cherished relationship with his sister, Amy, and was a dedicated father and grandfather. Some of his proudest moments weren't found on a job site but on the ballfields of Greentree, PA, where he spent years coaching baseball and softball with the same passion he applied to his trade.
Mike leaves behind many family members. This includes his spouse, Luanne Jones (Brazier); his children, Jackie Lynn Finch (Ryan) and Michael Richard Jones; and their children, Kiedis W. Finch, Dylan R. Finch, Averie L. Jones, and Harper J. Jones, to whom he was a beloved “Pap.” He is also survived by his sister, Amy Lynn Jones (John); his partner, Ingrid Thiel; his mother-in-law, Luella Brazier; and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson R. Jones Sr. and Frances R. Jones; brothers, Nelson R. Jones Jr. and Corey M. Jones; and father-in-law, Dewey Brazier.
Family and friends are welcome, Friday, May 22, 2026 from 2-5PM, at William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220. (412) 563-2800. Funeral Service will be private.
