Age 29, of Scott Twp, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, with her family by her side.
Maura was the beloved daughter of Marilyn (Eckhardt) Schwab and the late Steve Schwab.
Maura went to S.S. Simon & Jude Elementary school and Bishop Canevin High School where she was an honor student and active student leader including Student Council President. She was especially happy playing soccer and enjoying the camaraderie of her team mates.
Maura attended Duquesne University where she was a member of the Pharmacy sorority Lambda Kappa Sigma. She earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Duquesne University. Following graduation from Duquesne University, Maura was a clinical pharmacy resident at the University of Buffalo in New York.
Maura returned to Pittsburgh after living for a time in California and Florida.
Along with the gift of a quick wit and lively sense of humor, Maura was known as a caring and compassionate young woman who valued her beloved family, deep friendships and her three loving pets Lucas, Liam and Lucy. Her generosity was most recently evidenced through her organ donations which saved the lives of five people.
Maura will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, Maura is survived by her dear brother, Steven M. Schwab, her aunt Lois (Joe) Meade, uncles Fred (Sue Ann) Eckhardt and Richard Schwab, cousins Carolyn (Mike) Singer, Maureen (Kevin) Delaney, Joey Meade, James Eckhardt, Kathleen Eckhardt, Andrew Eckhardt, Jennifer Gallagher, Debra (Harry) Sarkas, R.J. Schwab, Stevie and Mikey Schwab and many friends both old and new, especially Julia, Lauren, Jen and Jordan.
