Mary Angeline Comport Urbanic, 91, passed peacefully in the early hours of 15th of January 2021. She was born March 6, 1929, in Pittsburgh, PA. Loving wife of John E. Urbanic (deceased). Loving mother of John E. Urbanic Jr., Annamarie Harris (Daryl), Edward F. Urbanic (Jennifer), and William Urbanic (Wendy). Loving grandmother to Claudia Roper, John E. Urbanic III, William Urbanic II and Rebecca Urbanic. Great-grandmother to Sebastian Bishop (deceased), Elizabeth Bishop, Emily Geist, Daniella and Eva Roper. Mary Angeline Comport joins her parents, Francis and Rosemarie Fera Comport and her brother, Henry, Frank, Bill and Louie and sisters, Theresa, Ann, Jenny, Josie and Dolly. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, and nephews behind who she loved so very much. A special thanks to family, friends, and extended family members who stand in love with us. Mary stood 5'1." Her presence was great. She was brave and athletic. She came from a place that used music and the arts to cope with grief and pain. She was a poet and a storyteller. A viewing for immediate family will be held at WM. SLATER & SONS, INC., (412-381-3345) 301 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington from 10 a.m. to Noon Friday, January 22, 2021, a brief memorial service and interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
